I chose the following database article from the New York Times because one of my fascinations with the Salem Witch Trials is the "aftermath" so to speak. I am interested in what we have learned and how we have gone about of lives since these events occurred. This article discusses Salem in present day and how the history of the town is affecting the town presently.

I found this article in the News Bank archive. I chose this article because it discusses a similar event that occurred decades after the Salem Witch Trials. I am always interested in what people have learned from the event in Salem but the events in this article almost seem to convey an "education" of another kind when it comes to this topic. The gentlemen who started the rumors about this women seemed to know that witch craft accusations would achieve what he wanted which in this case seem to be the woman's death.

Why I Created This Blog

My name is Maegan. I created this blog to discuss the Salem Witch Trials for my college history class. I chose this topic because I have always found the events and issues surrounding the trials in Salem  to be fascinating. I also think that we can learn from what happened there.
